Welcome to the Stress free Land, where a New Way of Thinking teaches you a better Reality.

The Old Paradigm of Stress.

According to Hans Selye the father of stress theory, stress is: "Our body reaction  to any demand upon it." Which means that as long as we live we cannot escape the effects of stress. We are doomed to live with it for the rest of our life.

The U.S. Government spends over 1 billion dollars per year to pay for stress related illnesses.

U.S. Companies spends more than 70 billions dollars per year for the same reason.  And this is not just an American problem it's affecting people all over the earth. Being such a universal problem, many professionals are doing research in this field.  Sad to say though, because of the existing "Paradigm of Stress" they are focusing on research about stress management and not in finding a way to ELIMINATE it.

Some of the defensive effects that stress produces:

  • Triggers a specific response in our brain. The HPA system is activated (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) and triggers the production and release of cortisol (the primary stress hormone), and adrenaline (chemical messengers) that prepares the whole body to deal with any perceived danger.

  • The Immune System goes in alert getting ready to fight any "invaders."

  • Heart, Lungs, and Circulation. Once a perceived stressor is identified, breathing becomes rapid and the lungs take in more oxygen, blood flow may actually increase 300% to 400%, priming the muscles, lungs, and brain for added demands. Then the spleen discharges red and white blood cells, allowing the blood to transport more oxygen.

  • Metabolic activity. Stress slows or shuts down digestive activity during short-term periods of dealing with it.

Some of  the negative effects of stress:

  • Heart Disease. Stress have been associated with a higher risk for serious cardiac events, such as  heart attacks, heart rhythm abnormalities, or even death.

  • Stroke. In a 2001 study,  stress has been associated for the first time to a higher risk for stroke in adult.

  • Susceptibility to Infections. Stress may slow the immune response and increase the risk for infections. The level of white blood cells decreases and the person becomes vulnerable to infections.

  •  Eating Problems. Stress may cause weight gain and obesity by triggering cravings for fat, sugar, salt to counteract tension, also could cause eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia.

  • Diabetes. Stress has been known to affect the body's ability to regulate glucose, the primary cause of diabetes.

  • Gastrointestinal Problems. Stress can disrupt the digestive system, causing  problems such as: spastic colon (irritable bowel syndrome) resulting in cramping, diarrhea and alternating periods of constipation. Also studies show that even though peptic ulcer is caused by H. pylori bacteria stress plays an important role by predisposing someone to ulcers, or slowing the recovery from existing ulcers..

  • Pain, such as headaches, muscular and joint pain.

  • Sexual and Reproductive Dysfunction,

  • Sleep Disturbances

  • Memory, Concentration, and Learning.

  • Skin Disorders, Allergies, Unexplained Hair Loss, Teeth and Gums problems.
